Our multi-day trips are designed to encourage leadership, the use of minimum impact wilderness techniques, and an understanding of the flora and fauna which surround us. Learn how to read maps and orient yourself, build shelters in the snow, properly use tents and camping equipment, and purify drinking water. Williamson & Tyndall (6 days) Williamson (14,375 feet) and Tyndall (14,018 feet) are two of California's premier 14,000ers. A two day approach to Williamson - the 2nd highest point in California - over Sherperd Pass and attempt the peak via the classic 3rd class Bolton Brown Route. We camp by the beautifully sheer West Face of Tyndall, whose feldspar glows with a pinkish orange alpine glow in the morning light, and climb a magnificent long easy but exposed knife blade ridge to the summit. |

White Mountain (5 days) The great plateau dominated by the 14,250 feet White Mountain is one of America's least visited and most dramatic mountain areas. Home to the brisltcone pine, the world's oldest living things, the White offers awesome panoramas of the Sierra and the desert mountains of Nevada. After climbing White Mountain, we continue along the rugged tableland (the largest area over 12,000feet in the US) looking for bighorn sheep, bagging peaks along the way. |
